Instrument Explorers

Delight in All the Instruments!

Piano. Ukulele. Singing. Drums. Boomwhackers. It all comes together in Instrument Explorers- a class that gives students ages 4-6 years a chance to explore music through a variety of different instruments… and much more!

Instrument Explorers incorporates a wide range of activities tailored to the young musician. Young learners need to move. Instrument explorers includes age-appropriate movement — everything from creative movement to movement with a prop to movement that explores concepts like high/low. Young learners will engage their imagination with pretend play through music, vocal development, storytelling, listening. And they will gain musical understanding through games and activities that teach musical concepts and vocabulary.

Woven throughout the class is exploration with a wide range of musical instruments. Children learn about instruments by seeing, touching, and hearing them. In this first introduction to musical instruments, children are introduced to the building blocks of music: rhythm, pitch, notes, and technique.

In Instrument Explorers they can discover their favorite for when they are ready to move to group or private instruction. They also get priority placement in any further program as spots become available.
