Homeschool Harmony Hub

Welcome to our music program designed specifically for homeschool families: a place to learn, play, and belong through music. This isn’t just lessons — it’s a community-based music experience.

Homeschool Harmony Hub is a 90-minute class designed for homeschoolers, ages 5 through young teens. Group learning builds confidence without pressure.

While kids are engaged in joyful, skill-building music classes, parents and siblings can relax, connect, or work in our front lobby, or they are welcome to head to a park or run an errand.

The Life-Long Skills

  • Develop confidence, creativity, and collaboration in a supportive group environment
  • Multi-age environment encourages leadership and mentorship
  • Group learning builds confidence without pressure
  • Nurture a life-long love of music

Why group classes

Three reasons kids stick with the studio.

  • Collaboration builds better musicians.

Kids learn faster when they play with others. Listening, timing, and confidence grow on the bandstand.

  • Lower pressure, higher confidence.

Group classes take the spotlight off any one student. Mistakes are part of the music, not a performance review.

  • More fun means more learning.

When students love showing up, they practice without being asked. The hobby sticks.

Curriculum

Each class follows a consistent, engaging flow that keeps students focused while having fun:

🎶 Connection Time

We begin each class with a high-energy group activity — like a drum circle, rhythm game, or singing exercise — to bring everyone together and get our “rhythm and harmony” in sync.

🎼 Music Theory Foundations

Students learn essential music skills that apply to all instruments:

  • Rhythm and timing
  • Note reading and notation
  • Musical symbols and vocabulary
  • Listening and ear training

🎹 Instrument Learning

Students break into small groups based on age, with a variety of instruments taught — focusing on a few each semester:

  • Piano
  • Ukulele
  • Ensemble playing
  • Singing

Our focus is on making music as a group, building both skill and confidence in a low-pressure setting.

🌟 Sharing & Wrap-Up

We end each class by coming back together to share, perform, and celebrate what we’ve learned.

What to Expect

A place where students will come together to extend their music education through a variety of group options. Students will be placed in groups according to ages and abilities. With group piano classes, ensembles, group ukulele and more — we have a place for everyone.

As students join us, we will adjust the programming to cultivate an experience perfect for all.

Commitment and Withdrawals

Music education is developmental in its approach, learning a new language through reading and playing. Staying in class has long-term benefits, but we also know that life is life.

Commitment for Mini Units is the full 4 weeks. Should you miss a week, you will be invited to make up your class in one of our regularly scheduled classes later in the afternoon.

Commitment during the school year is per semester in order to maintain consistent learning groups and progress.
